My fee for a Sale is $1095.00 plus HST and disbursements. My fee for a Purchase (including a mortgage) is $1295.00 plus HST and disbursements.
What are disbursements? Simply put, these are amounts that I pay out of my pocket for your benefit before your deal closes. Typically, I will pay a title search fee before closing so that I can determine there are no liens or encumbrances registered against the property you are buying. In appropriate cases, I will pay for a clearance letter from the municipal tax or building department to ensure there are no unpaid taxes or zoning infractions registered against the property. In all cases I will pay the cost of registering title in your name at the Registry Office. Once the transaction closes I simply ask that you reimburse me for these disbursements. I assure you there is no mark up whatsoever on these disbursements.
